I guess this is the only way to get a message to you. I just read your column on SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS. We agree completely. Our first 3 cruises were all on Celebrity ( Constellation and Millenium), and the food in the maindining rooms were great, and the specialty dining rooms were superb, and well worth the extra cost.
We just returned from 10 day cruise on Oasis of the Seas to Panama Canal (round trip from Miami). We agree that the main dining room was just ok, but the Chops Grille and Portofino were excellent, and welll worth the extra cost. The maitre d told us that they lose money on every meal there, and we're sure that they do. We actually ate at Portofino for the Mystery Theater dinner. We really enjoyed the show ( which is a well kept secret), and the meal was superb.
By the way, you might be intersted to report that the "PANAMA CANAL CRUISE" did not go THRU the canal, as advertised. We had to take an extra excursion TO the observation deck at the canal, where we saw 2 ships go thru. Others paid much more for an 8-hour trip across Panama, and then back thru the canal. When we complained on the survey, they called, and refunded our tour cost. But they never told us before or since the cruise why they did not go THRU the Gaton Locks, as advertised.

I love this site ~ It fits right in with my blog and book. The mainstay of the book is about a baseball tour I took back east and its something your readers might find interesting. Please take a look and see what you think!
