Small compacts containing multiple shades of cream or powdered makeup in mini sizes are a great travel alternative to toting a big bag of full-sized individual shades.
But pre-packaged combos may contain colors you don't want, and what happens if you use up one indispensable shade before the rest of the batch?
No problem with Travel Trios, from a company called Three Custom Color Specialists.
You pick each of three shades of eye, face, or lip colors in cream or powder form, each of which comes in a 1.5-inch- diameter magnetic pan that pops into metal indentations in a slim mirrored refillable compact with a little makeup brush in its own slot.
When a shade is used up, just pop it out and replace it with the same or another shade.
Travel Trio makeup sets, $67.50; refills, $17.50 apiece, 888-262-7714 or threecustom.
